I had so hoped to be able to make cookies with the boys this year, but my first week after Joel's birth was really rough physically. Thankfully Auntie was here to save the day. One day she was particularly bored (not a common occurence in this house!) so she undertook a bigger task than she realized and started making cookie dough.
Our little artists-in-residence were THRILLED with the opportunity to paint and design their own cookies. We were pretty impressed with their results. Only problem was, we could NOT convince Micah he he had to stop at one cookie!

I had suggested to the boys they could make some cookies for their friends. Daniel's response was "When we get to heaven, we can take some to Timmy!" I told the boys that they could still make some cookies for Timmy, and they could eat them later for him. Daniel jumped right on that and wanted his f-16 to have Timmy's name on it. Gabe frosted his blue for Timmy. This cookie cutter had been one Timmy chose at the Boeing Flight Museum, one of his favorite places to visit. Timmy loved the Blue Angels!! (notice Gabe's on the plate in the first picture with Micah)
