Micah's Birthday

This month (14th) my Micah turned Five. It is really hard to believe. Hard to believe that it has been that long since he was an infant in my arms. He was such a gift to us at such a desperate time in our lives. I remember holding him through those long days of Timmy's surgeries. It was so good to hold my baby, when I couldn't hold my big boy.
It is so hard to believe that he was just an infant when Timmy left us, and that now Micah is the age that Timmy was during his last year with us. Now he is my big boy--one of three! Where does time go?
This year has been a lot about house designing for us, as we are getting closer to our dream of building a home. Micah, along with his big brother Gabe, is really REALLY into the design aspect, so we decided his cake could reflect that.

Micah's birthday was probably the first truly warm day this year, so we pulled out the sprinkler and the popsicles to celebrate. He was delighted!

He loves his Joely. LOOK at those toes. mmmmm....

and Gabe.

there's nothing to say.

full tilt . Of course.

yes, Micah's trunks are on backwards. And no, he didn't care a hoot.

so handsome

adorable!
I LOVE this shot. I hope they have lots of memories like this. And I hope I do, too. It makes me happy.

Loooove the sprinkler pictures. That last one is one to keep for a lifetime.

Are those sunflower seeds on the birthday cake? Brilliant! That's my kind of cake!

time was had by all.

It won't be long and they will be able to have the sprinklers on every day.
