Sorry to you faithful friends who check on me, only to see the same old post all the time. Truth is I've been so buried under all the pictures I've taken for others, i've not had much time for my own. But I thought I"d take a minute to share a few from our vacation. We had a great time in Newfoundland and the kids had SO much fun with their cousins. I had fun photographing these beautiful little girls (not so many around my house :-) ).

Life around here is pretty much the same. We took a trip to the "sprinkler park" today , just for a change of scenery. Gabe gets bored in his own yard, and would prefer to play legos or draw all day, so I have to entice him to get him outside. Micah had a blast walking through all the sprinklers--he was much more into it than even his brothers.

People keep asking me if we're starting homeschooling this year. My answer is yes--officially. But, really we're not doing things much different than before. I'm excited about homeschooling my kids, because I think it is the best for them and I love finding ways to effectively teach them (so they truly learn). But NO, i'm not a supermom who just wants to spend every moment with my children. We read together, play games (Junior Monopoly is a current favorite--they don't know how much they're learning while they play!), and lunch time is when we do bible verses. We start a new verse each Monday, and when they have it mastered they get a little treat. This is very motivating for my kiddos, and a small price to pay for the result! They've got quite a few under their belts, now. I'm hoping the words will sink in one of these days. Our latest verse is Proverbs 15:1 A soft answer turns away wrath. At this point they'd be happy to yell at their brother for interrupting their turn at saying their bible verse. Know what I mean? We'll get there... :-)
Anyway, Gabe is reading literally everything, which is great, cuz now he likes to study his verses himself :-). Daniel is learning his letters and numbers and Micah, well he's starting to talk :-)

Rob and I are trying to identify which house projects we want to tackle first, so we can better take care of/enjoy the home we've been blessed with. So much to do!

My photography "business" has taken on a life of its own, and I'm trying to put the brakes on so I can get my business stuff in order, and still learn what I'm actually doing! good grief! I do plan on starting a Blog for my business, in place of a website, since my work is still "in progress" and i'm learning all the time. I'll post a link whenever that gets going. No time now!

Hope you liked the pics.
Leah
