Because He Lives

This song has been running in my head and heart the last few weeks. I've had some sad days.

"Because He lives I can face tomorrow
Because He lives all fear is gone
Because I know Who holds the future
And life is worth the living
Just because He lives"

Tonight we watched some wonderful Easter movies with the boys. They are by Nest Entertainment and are cartoon stories of Jesus' death, resurrection and ascension. They are VERY well done and very moving. Very age appropriate for my kiddos, too.
Daniel is working very hard, preparing for his Easter puppet show, which he will present to his grandparents tomorrow, after some Easter festivities at Grammie's house. He's been working all week, memorizing the story from his Bible story CDs. This is very very special to us, as Timmy had memorized these same pages, just before he got sick--when he was not quite four years old. Daniel had me pray that Timmy could watch from heaven and do it with him tomorrow, as he knows that Timmy had these lines memorized. As I prayed with him tonight, I prayed as he requested, and was thanking the Lord that Timmy was being honored by Daniel's rendition of this most wonderful and true story. I thanked Jesus that his death made it possible for Timmy to live again. As I concluded my prayer I heard Gabey up above in his bunk crying. Gabe doesn't cry from sadness very often, but when he does it is a deep crying. I climbed up in his bed and just held him and asked him if I could sing him a song which has comforted me lately. As I sang him the song above, his crying stopped and he eventually drifted into a peaceful sleep.

Blessed are they who mourn, for they shall be comforted.

Thank you Jesus that you died, and that you rose again so that we may all know life. My heart aches for those who mourn without your comfort. Please show yourself to them. Use us, Lord, I pray. That we may comfort others with the comfort we have received.

Jesus, you are my everything.

I love you.

Thanks for your wonderful post. I missed you all yesterday and I can't wait to see the video of Daniel's resurrection performance.

"Christ has been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who are asleep..." 1 Cor. 15:20.

I hope Daniel's performance went great!

""By his power God raised the Lord from the dead and he will raise us also"
